In the effect of all decisions taken by Polish Government around Refugees Problem, I had to write these sentences… cannot leave it just like that…
The problem of refugees in Europe is not a new problem as the courtiers from the Southern part of our continent have had to battle this problem for a long time now. This is a totally NEW problem that Polish government cannot, does not want to solve and does not show any signs of understanding, sympathy or even empathy with all these who must leave everything behind and run, run far only save its life. What is more stunning is that this lack of any help to real People takes place in a country where Solidarity was born, in the country that has been offered help and support from other European countries especially during the regime of Communism and nowadays when so many Poles emigrated to Western Europe where they can work, study or just have fun.
I feel totally ashamed as a Pole whose government does not want to help other Partners in Europe with so few as only 7,000 refugees who can be accommodated across Poland, in one of the largest European Countries. Shame on you, shame on your policies and lack of any sympathy. We owe these people; mainly women and children shelter, food, support. Give them the chance to work and live here for the benefits of Polish Economy. Take the lessons from other European courtiers, especially the UK or Germany where systems have been developed so the Migrants can work (hard, much harder than here in Poland) and pay taxes. Do not turn back to poor, helpless and innocent women and children who have NOTHING left in their lives expect tears and destroyed buildings or schools. Please work with other European counterparts for a stronger, open, tolerant Europe. Only together we can resolve this problem and the sooner the better. Later it can be too late.
To all my European Friends – I am sorry for my Government. They just do not know what they do. They do not understand Europe.
